Geelong Cats defender Mark O'Connor and forward Oli Wiltshire have both put pen to paper on new deals to remain with the Club.

O’Connor will be with the Cats for at least another two seasons, after extending through until the end of 2028.

Now in his 10th AFL season, O’Connor has become a key member of the Cats’ line up with his ability to play a number of different roles as required. The Kerry product reached the 150 game milestone in Round 3 against Adelaide, becoming just the sixth Irish-born player in AFL history to achieve the feat.

An integral member of Geelong’s 2022 Premiership team, he also added to his Gaelic football success in 2026, helping Dingle to a historic first All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship title.

“Mark’s been an important player for us for a long time now, he consistently plays the roles required of him and brings experience that sets a strong example for the group,” Geelong Cats Executive General Manager of Football Andrew Mackie said.

Meanwhile, livewire forward Oli Wiltshire has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him in the Hoops until at least the end of 2027.

The Barwon Heads local was drafted with pick 61 in the 2023 National Draft. After an impressive 2024 VFL campaign, he made his AFL debut in Round 7 of the 2025 season and featured the following week against Collingwood, kicking his first goal at a crucial stage in the Cats' thrilling victory.

Playing seven of his nine AFL games in 2026, Wiltshire has emerged this year as an exciting goal scorer with an abundance of speed and athleticism. He kicked three goals in the Round 14 clash against Gold Coast and followed it up with two goals in the Round 15 top of the table match against Fremantle.

“Oli’s development has been really pleasing, he’s shown what he can do at AFL level and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to grow at the Club,” Mackie said.
