Geelong stormed to another monumental victory on Saturday afternoon, their fourth consecutive win as they defeated Sydney by 27 points at GMHBA Stadium.

For the sixth time in the last seven games, the Cats exceeded 100 points and they also recorded 11 individual goal-kickers, an impressive feat against one of the competition's top teams.

But Geelong were also able to lock down defensively, limiting the Swans' damaging attack to 12 goals and 80 total points, capping off a complete performance at home.

Take a look through some of the standout performers from Saturday afternoon at the Cattery.

Connor O'Sullivan

16 Disposals, Eight Intercepts, One Goal

It felt like the entire 2026 season had been building towards this moment and O'Sullivan capitalised, as he rolled through the first goal of his AFL career and brought the house down at GMHBA Stadium.

While the kick heard around Geelong will get plenty of attention, the emerging star also put together an impressive performance to help nullify Sydney's dangerous forwards throughout the match.

O'Sullivan finished with 16 disposals and collected eight intercept possessions, also recording six score involvements and going at a remarkable 94% disposal efficiency to make the most of every possession.

He played an important role in Geelong's stellar defensive display, helping to restrict the Swans to just one goal in the final quarter as they secured a crucial victory at home.

Max Holmes

35 Disposals, Nine Score Involvements, Eight Clearances

His form this season has been exceptional and his consistency is unmatched, but Max Holmes was crucial for the Cats once again on Saturday afternoon in another terrific display.

The dashing on-baller collected a game-high 35 disposals, the 13th consecutive game that he has finished with 25 disposals or more dating back to last year's Preliminary Final.

Holmes also won eight clearances which was tied for the most of any player on Saturday, also registering nine score involvements and six inside 50 entries.

Going at 80% efficiency and amassing 712 metres gained, Holmes was comfortably one of the most damaging players on the ground once again, continuing to build a sensational campaign.

Sam De Koning

16 Disposals, Nine Intercepts, Nine Score Involvements

Geelong faced a tall task against one of the best ruckmen in the league in Brodie Grundy, but it proved to be an inspired move as Chris Scott sent Sam De Koning into the middle to tandem ruck alongside Mitch Edwards.

De Koning collected 16 disposals and hardly wasted a single one, finishing the night with an equal game-high nine score involvements to go with nine intercept possessions.

Between De Koning and Edwards, the big Cats finished with 31 hit-outs which matched Grundy's 31 hit-outs, helping Geelong to win the clearance battle (+4) against one of the best on-ball divisions in the competition.

Lawson Humphries

33 Disposals, 811 Metres Gained, Nine Intercepts

On a special night, wearing the guernsey designed by him and his sister Meeza and with his family in the stands, Lawson Humphries pieced together an incredible performance to lead his side to victory.

The dashing defender entered the game with a previous career-high of 26 disposals but blew that out of the water, collecting 33 disposals on Saturday afternoon to go with nine marks and a game-high 811 metres gained.

Humphries also nailed a goal at a pivotal stage in the second quarter which helped to break the game open, giving another brilliant and emphatic celebration to set the stadium alight.

If that was not enough, Humphries also finished with nine intercept possessions and eight score involvements, a simply dominant outing from a Cat in exceptional form so far this year.

Zach Guthrie

21 Disposals, Seven Score Involvements, Seven Intercepts

Quietly going about his business but having a brilliant season, Zach Guthrie provides a cool head across half back and capitalised on a number of important moments against the Swans.

The reliable defender collected 21 disposals on Saturday afternoon and went at a very solid 86% efficiency, while still impacting big contests and coming away with seven intercept possessions.

Guthrie was also able to help generate Geelong's ball movement and attack the middle of the ground, finishing the night with an impressive seven score involvements in another terrific performance.
