Francis Evans has been selected by Geelong with pick 41 in this year’s NAB AFL Draft.

Evans spent his 2019 split between two football programs playing five games with the Brunswick Football Club in the VAFA League and three games with the Calder Cannons in the NAB League.

In his five games with Brunswick’s division two side the 182cm forward kicked 21 goals, including an eight-goal haul against Melbourne High.

In another appearance the then 17-year-old kicked four goals and had 26 disposals in an effort that saw him win the league’s Rising Star Award for that round.

In Evans’ three games for the Calder Cannons the forward kicked five goals, averaged four marks and nine disposals.
