For the second time in as many weeks the Cats will be playing in a top of the table clash.

This time they face last year’s grand finalists Brisbane, who shot to the top of Conference B after a convincing 32-point win against the Western Bulldogs last Saturday night.

Brisbane’s smalls did the damage on the scoreboard, with goals coming from Kate McCarthy (2), Jess Wuetschner, Jordan Zanchetta and Nat Exon.

The Cats also enter the game on a high following a Round 4 victory against Carlton at home.

Their game went down to the final moments of the fourth quarter, where the Cats held on in a low scoring affair. Inaccuracy plagued both sides and Geelong’s forwards will be looking to convert their opportunities this weekend.

Three talking points

Who will play on Sabrina Frederick-Traub and Jess Wuetschner?
The Brisbane forwards form probably the most damaging duo in the competition. Will the flexible Maddy McMahon, who can play both small and tall, take on Wuetschner? Will Meghan McDonald or Bec Goring play on Frederick-Traub?

Where will Geelong’s forward line height come from?
With both Maddie Boyd and Aasta O’Connor missing from this weekend’s match due to suspension, who will push forward as a marking target to help Phoebe McWilliams?

Can the Cats have their first win away from Kardinia Park?
The Cats have won two from two at home, however their travel record is less than complimentary. They have lost both away matches, in Round 2 against the Western Bulldogs and in Round 3 against Adelaide. Can the Cats get their first win on the road?
