Scott on the last few minutes

It must have been good being a neutral supporter, it was a bit tense for the supporters and for people involved in both teams.

Early in the season, you maybe give a little bit of room to the players because a lot of it was poor execution on both sides. It was almost a case of the team that could actually have a bit of composure and take their chances, because there were some strange ones late.

I didn't think we played well all game, I would have to look at it a little bit closer. I am never happy to lose, but I thought they probably had their chances to win it late and we almost stole it.

I am not sitting here saying we completely outplayed them and blew our chances, I thought from early in the game that we just weren't executing the way that we can.

Scott on Geelong's first month of the season

You should probably reference my earlier comments, that we as a coaching group didn't think that we hit our straps the whole game.

There are parts of our game that we need to work on.

But the positive is that we are two and two, not playing that well and have played three teams that are nearly locks for the top eight.

I think we are pretty good at keeping our composure, but everyone around you does their very best to knock you away from that.

Scott on the intensity

I thought the pressure from both sides was really good, that always contributes to some questionable ball use.

I thought they were as I expected them to be, they are a good team and they were good.

I don't think we quite hit our straps and then had ourselves in a position to win the game.

I am not sure who's lack of composure late was worse, we certainly had out chances but there is no doubt they had theirs as well.

Scott on Jeremy Cameron

He got a knock in this game. I am not exactly sure what the feedback is on that, he was obviously okay to keep going.

I thought he was influential up the ground, I am trying to think back to the previous couple of games.

I always think he is important for us and he is one of those players that even when his impact is not as obvious with ball in hand, he is a challenge for the opposition.

That would be my assessment is that he doesn't need to dominate for us, so it was a deliberate decision for us to have him up the ground.

Scott on the new rules

It is hard to ice the game anyway in at centre bounces.

My observation is that the rule has been really positive, I can't think of any rule changes this year that I have got any negativity towards.

If we were to take a breath, it is difficult for us right at the moment, but it is not that hard to think back to what that game would have been like 10 years ago.

It would have been horrendous, we would have been a goal up with 90 seconds to go, do you know how many players we would have had in our forward half?
