In among all the exciting games awaiting Geelong in the 2026 season, there will be numerous milestones to keep an eye on as the year unfolds.
From all-time records to 300-gamers, there are a number of significant accolades in reach for some key Cats.
Mark Blicavs leads the charge and is just five games away from his 300th, while Jeremy Cameron also has the chance to move into the top 10 on the all-time goal-kicking leaderboard.
Take a look at all the milestones to keep an eye on heading into the 2026 AFL season.
Mark Blicavs - 300 AFL Games
300 games is no mean feat for any player who enters the league, but Mark Blicavs' journey towards the magical milestone has been nothing short of incredible.
Joining Geelong's Rookie List in 2013, Blicavs was an exceptional athlete with raw football skills, but he quickly became a staple of the Cats starting line-up.
Finishing the 2025 season on 295 games, the star utility will need just five more matches at the top level to reach the triple century next year.
If he can achieve it, Blicavs would become just the eighth Geelong player to reach 300 games in the Hoops, while also becoming just the second rookie listed player to reach the number.
Jeremy Cameron - 300 AFL Games & 800 Goals
He is certainly pushing his case to be regarded as one of the modern era's greatest players, but Jeremy Cameron can add some more strings to his bow in 2026.
Finishing the season on 280 AFL games, Cameron is also well within reach of the 300 game milestone, something he can potentially achieve in the back end of the year.
But the superstar also sits on 736 career goals, currently sitting 19th on the all-time goal-kicking leaderboard.
If he can kick 42 goals in 2026, Cameron can move into the top 15 on that leaderboard and if he can slot 64 majors, can also become just the 13th player to reach 800 goals.
One more significant milestone is that his good mate, Tom Hawkins sits in 13th on the all-time goal-kicking leaderboard with 796 career goals, just another interesting note to keep an eye on as the year unfolds.
Patrick Dangerfield - Top 10 All-Time AFL Games & Most Brownlow Votes
There are two significant milestones to keep an eye on for the Geelong skipper, as he enters his 19th AFL season.
Ending 2025 on 360 AFL games, Dangerfield now sits just 16 games behind 10th place on the all-time games played leaderboard, a spot which is currently occupied by David Mundy.
If the Cats champion can play 17 games in 2026, he will surpass Mundy and move into the top 10 which is quite an incredible achievement.
The other thing to watch will come on Brownlow night, with Dangerfield needing just four votes in 2026 to become the leading Brownlow vote poller in the game's history.
He finished 2025 on 259 votes, sitting narrowly behind all-time leader Gary Ablett Junior on 262 votes.
Rhys Stanley - 250 AFL Games
Geelong's all-time leader for hit-outs and the number one ruck for nearly a decade, Rhys Stanley has been a brilliant servant of the Club.
After spending five years and playing 58 games with St Kilda, Stanley joined Geelong at the end of 2014 and has gone on to play another 171 games in the Hoops.
At the conclusion of the 2025 season, the premiership ruckman had 229 games to his name and is within reach of the 250 game milestone during the 2026 campaign.
Jake Kolodjashnij & Tom Stewart - 200 AFL Games
Two premiership players and two champion defenders, both Jake Kolodjashnij and Tom Stewart have the chance to play their 200th AFL game in 2026.
Kolodjashnij has been with the Club for a decade and has been one of the most reliable defenders Geelong has seen, but unfortunately he was unable to feature at the top level in 2025 due to injury.
Beginning the new campaign on 198 games, Kolodjashnij will only need two AFL appearances to reach his well-deserved milestone.
A five time All-Australian and two time Carji Greeves Medallist, Tom Stewart has been one of the most impressive backmen in the modern era.
Finishing the 2025 season on 191 games, Stewart will need just nine more to notch another milestone and bring up his 200th AFL game.
Mark O'Connor, Jack Bowes, Zach Guthrie & Brad Close - 150 AFL Games
A quartet of key Cats can reach significant career milestones with Mark O'Connor, Jack Bowes, Zach Guthrie and Brad Close all within reach of their 150th AFL games.
An extraordinary story of patience and persistence, Guthrie started on Geelong's Rookie List and only played 20 games across his first four seasons at the Club.
He is now one of the Cats most reliable defenders, featuring in the 2022 premiership and only needs 22 more appearances to reach his 150th AFL game.
Jack Bowes' journey has been slightly different, starting his career on the Gold Coast and playing 83 games there across six seasons, before joining Geelong via trade at the end of 2022.
Featuring in another 60 games in the Hoops, Bowes finished 2025 with 143 games to his name and will only need seven more to reach the milestone.
O'Connor has quickly become one of the most successful Irishmen in the games history, featuring in the 2022 premiership and playing a number of different roles as the team requires.
With 147 AFL games under his belt, O'Connor will most likely become the first to reach 150 games in 2026, needing just three more matches at the top level in the new campaign.
Finally, Brad Close is also within striking distance after concluding 2025 with 127 games to his name, an integral part of Geelong's forward structure.
Close is another product of the Cats Rookie List, starting his career at the end of 2019 and debuting in 2020, going on to be awarded Geelong's best young player award and featuring in the 2022 premiership.
Ollie Henry & Sam De Koning - 100 AFL Games
The final milestones that can be reached in 2026 will be courtesy of two emerging young stars, with Ollie Henry and Sam De Koning both able to bring up their 100th AFL games in the new campaign.
Henry's career started at Collingwood and he featured in 25 games there, before crossing to Geelong and playing another 60 games across the past three seasons.
The athletic forward finished 2025 on 85 games, meaning he will need another 15 in the new season to reach his 100th match.
De Koning has had a rapid rise over the past four seasons, also sitting on 85 games at the end of 2025 and needing 15 more to reach his 100th.
After primarily spending his first two seasons at the club in the VFL, De Koning went on to become one of the best young defenders in the league and is now a premiership player.
