Junior Career
Worpel grew up in Bannockburn, just outside of Geelong and played the majority of his junior football with the Bell Park Dragons.
He also played plenty of representative footy throughout his junior days, before being drafted to the AFL in 2017.
Along with his two seasons in the TAC Cup, Worpel also represented Vic Country in the AFL Under 18 Championships. He was selected in the 2014 Under 15 All-Australian team and the Under 18 All Australian team, while also captaining Vic Country in the 2017 Championships.
Geelong Falcons
Among his incredible resume at junior representative level, Worpel also spent two years with the Geelong Falcons and co-captained the team to a TAC Cup premiership in 2017.
Playing alongside the likes of Gryan Miers, Sam Walsh and Connor Idun, Worpel guided his team to a thrilling two point victory over the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup Grand Final, a Dragons team that also featured Bailey Smith.
