Geelong is mourning the passing of past player David Pescott, who passed away this week at the incredible age of 100.
A passionate follower of the Geelong Football Club, Pescott played three reserve grade games for the Cats between 1946 and 1947 and was appointed Club Secretary in March 1955, a role he served in until 1958.
On the 24th of June this year Pescott celebrated his 100th birthday, before unfortunately passing away at the end of last week just after watching his beloved Cats defeat the Saints.
Among his many talents, Pescott was also a keen golfer and hit three holes in one throughout his life, while also having a keen interest in rowing, cricket and bowls.
The Club sends its heartfelt condolences to David’s family and friends.
Rest peacefully, David.
