It is easy to forget some of the incredible and iconic moments that Geelong have had under the roof at Marvel Stadium.
From game-winning goals to breakout performances, from some of the greatest games of the modern era to record-breaking outings, the Cats have been involved in a number of matches at the venue that have been etched into Geelong folklore.
In fact since the venue opened and started hosting AFL games in 2000, Geelong have the best win percentage (65.24%) of any team in the competition at the Docklands.
As Marvel Stadium celebrates its 25th anniversary this weekend, take a look back at the top 10 Cats games at the venue.
1. Round 11, 2002 - Riccardi breaks Blues hearts
Geelong had blown a sizeable lead in this 2002 epic against Carlton and were staring down the barrel of a heartbreaking defeat, before Peter Riccardi stepped to the plate and saved the day.
Early in the final term, the Cats were 38 points clear and in full control before the Blues finished with a flurry, kicking seven unanswered goals to snatch the lead with just 26 seconds remaining.
Geelong got one final chance from a centre stoppage, the ball finding its way into the hands of Riccardi who launched a high, floating kick from outside 50 through for a game winning goal after the final siren.
2. Round 15, 2003 - Chapman sinks the Tigers
The Cats held a 26 point advantage early in the final term against Richmond in 2003, but once again faded late conceding seven goals in a 20 minute burst to find themselves trailing with just 90 seconds on the clock.
From a stoppage deep inside Geelong's forward 50, the ball bobbled towards goal and was scooped up by a young Paul Chapman, who quickly threw the ball onto his left foot right near the goal line and dribbled it through to retake the lead.
It would have been very interesting with today's technology and the goal review system to see just how close the ball was to the goal line, but it was signalled all clear by the umpires and the Cats went on to win the match.
3. Round 16, 2006 - Ottens' poster proves to be the difference
This clash was a genuine arm wrestle all afternoon and it came right down to the wire, with neither Geelong or the Western Bulldogs able to land a decisive blow in the closing stages of a nail-biter under the roof.
The final goal was kicked at the 11 minute mark of the fourth quarter before the two sides registered five consecutive behinds between them, leaving scores level with less than two minutes remaining.
Brad Ottens got an opportunity to seal the deal with a set shot, his kick glanced the outside of the left goal post but ultimately it was enough as the Cats held on to win by that one point.
4. Round 6, 2007 - Cats register highest score at Marvel Stadium
Not many saw this result coming and not many Cats fans will ever forget this coming of age moment in 2007.
After a slow start to the season, Geelong announced themselves to the competition by belting Richmond to the tune of 157 points, a significant moment in the history of the club which was ultimately the turning point en route to three premierships in five years.
The Cats final score (222) and the margin of victory (157) to this day both remain the highest in a single match at Marvel Stadium.
5. Round 14, 2009 - One of the all time great home and away games
While the Cats finished on the wrong side of this result, an argument can certainly be made that this was the greatest regular season game in V/AFL history.
Geelong and St Kilda both entered the Round 14 clash undefeated, with a full house of 54,444 spectators packing into Marvel Stadium which is still the largest attendance for an AFL game at the venue.
The Saints kicked the first five goals, Geelong spent all afternoon clawing their was back into the contest and levelled scores late, before Michael Gardiner sealed the result with just a minute left in the game.
The game certainly lived up to the hype and while St Kilda might have won the battle, Geelong would ultimately win the war on the last Saturday in September.
6. Round 2, 2013 - Cats overrun the Kangaroos
This week's Time Cat-Sule took a look back at this iconic contest from 2013, when Geelong overcame a huge first half deficit to defeat the Kangaroos with one of the final kicks of the game.
With the roof open at Marvel Stadium, Geelong trailed by as much as 41 points late in the first half before mounting a furious comeback, trailing by just two points inside the final two minutes of the contest.
Jimmy Bartel drew a free kick from a forward stoppage, a mistake from a North Melbourne defender tacked on a 50 metre penalty, and the ensuing goal would ultimately be the sealer as Geelong successfully chased down the third biggest deficit in the club's history.
7. Round 12, 2014 - Selwood steers his side home
Cometh the moment, cometh the man.
Geelong trailed late in the fourth quarter against Carlton in 2014, a George Horlin-Smith goal pulling the Cats back within one point to set up a grandstand finish in the final two minutes of the match.
He had been well held for much of the afternoon but inspirational skipper, Joel Selwood stood tall and landed a telling blow with a brilliant goal to put his side back in front, ultimately the final score in the game as Geelong clinched a famous five point win.
8. Round 15, 2014 - Hawkins buries the Bombers
Geelong flew out of the blocks in this game to take a 29 point lead into half time, looking in full control against the Bombers with Joel Selwood and Tom Hawkins dominating.
But the game flipped in an instant after the main break, Essendon piling on five unanswered goals from 10 consecutive scoring shots in the third term to snatch the lead back heading into three quarter time.
The two sides went goal for goal in the final stanza, Geelong got their noses in front and Tom Hawkins slammed the door shut with time ticking down, sealing the game for the Cats and providing an iconic celebration in front of the pro-Essendon crowd.
9. Round 12, 2016 - A Dangerfield epic downs ladder leading Kangaroos
North Melbourne were on the receiving end of some incredible performances from the Cats at Marvel Stadium, this one was no different as Patrick Dangerfield ran riot in his debut season at Geelong.
The Kangaroos were on top of the ladder and flying when the two sides met in Round 12, but Dangerfield produced a spectacular performance that included 48 disposals, 13 clearances, 11 inside 50's and two goals, another comfortable three Brownlow votes en route to taking out the award at the end of the year.
Geelong piled on 10 goals to four after half time, eventually closing out a 31 point win to move into the top two with Dangerfield's 48 possessions still the second highest total by a player at the venue.
10. Round 2, 2017 - An unlikely hero seizes his big moment
When you think of big match winning moments across Geelong history, your mind is instantly drawn to names like Selwood, Hawkins, Bartel....... but on this occasion, it was George Horlin-Smith.
The Cats were up against it all afternoon as the Kangaroos built a 31 point lead deep into the third quarter, but a string of five unanswered goals pulled Geelong back within a kick late in the game.
George Horlin-Smith earned a free kick inside 50 and made no mistake with the set shot, putting the Cats one point in front with what would ultimately be the final score of the match.
