Cats’ skipper Joel Selwood has confirmed he will lead his side out on Sunday afternoon against Adelaide at Richmond Oval.

In what will be his first outing of the JLT Community Series, Selwood told the Geelong Advertiser he intends to play a full game against the Crows as he adds the finishing touches to a flawless pre-season on the track.

“I am looking forward to Sunday,” Selwood said.

“Probably the two games back to back is what I had pictured as my best prep for the season.”

“I plan on playing a full game, or close to it out there. I like playing (preseason games) back-to-back because if you do get sore you can get your body back up and learn to play again.”

“But at 28, I won’t say I’ve got it mastered because you can always get better, but you do get better at looking after your body.”

The Cats will face the Crows in their second JLT Community Series fixture from 2.05pm AEDT Sunday afternoon at Richmond Oval.
