Geelong Cats have officially welcomed Toby Greene to the Club, after signing him as an unrestricted free agent until at least the end of 2029.

Greene was selected by GWS in the 2011 draft, becoming part of their inaugural team during their first season in the competition, going on to spend 15 years with GWS through to the end of 2026.

He amassed quite an impressive resume along the journey, which included three selections in the All Australian team, two Best and Fairest awards, while also leading the club's goalkicking on four occasions.

Greene played 282 games with the Giants and kicked 450 goals, while also captaining the club from 2022 through to the end of 2026.

While he made a name for himself as a forward, Greene is also more than capable of rotating through the midfield and having a profound impact, polling the most votes and the most three-vote games for GWS in Brownlow Medal history.

2026 was another brilliant season for Greene, averaging 20.5 disposals and 5.7 inside 50s per game, while also kicking 34 goals from his 21 games.

Geelong Cats Executive General Manager Football Andrew Mackie said the Club was delighted to add such a quality player and person to its playing squad.

"Toby is a star of the competition, we have admired and respected him from afar and we’re looking forward to having him complement our current playing squad.

"His experience, competitiveness and capacity to elevate those around him will be a valuable addition to our group both on and off the field. We welcome Toby, his wife Georgia and daughter Isla to the Club."
