Renee Garing could be available for selection next month as she continues to progress in her post-pregnancy rehabilitation.
The tough midfielder has been working closely with both club and private medical professionals as she navigates her way back to playing after giving birth to her son Parker in May.
Garing resumed light contact training recently, and has a Season 7 return in sight.
“Renee has been progressing very well since the birth of Parker. She has been working closely with the medical team and a private women’s health physiotherapist,” Geelong Cats AFLW head physiotherapist Erin Nelson said.
“She will be available for selection from next month.”
There is also promising news for Rachel Kearns, who has been making good progress in her rehabilitation from surgery after an AC joint injury in Round 1.
The impactful forward could yet make a return in Season 7, and was out on the track for a one-on-one kicking session with development coach Andrew Bruce as she took her training to another level this week.
“Rachael’s rehabilitation post her AC Joint repair has been progressing well. It is possible that she may return before the end of the season,” Nelson said.
