Geelong will kickstart its Season 7 campaign on a Sunday afternoon at GMHBA, following the announcement of the 2022 NAB AFLW Competition fixture on Monday.
Cats members and supporters have plenty to celebrate, with an incredible array quality home and away games, including four occasions at GMHBA Stadium.
Geelong’s home games include Richmond, Collingwood, St Kilda and Sydney at GMHBA Stadium, with the Round 8 clash against West Coast to be played at Ikon Park. Round 8 also features Pride Round, headlined with double-header on Saturday afternoon.
All 18 clubs will host an Indigenous Round clash, with celebrations spread across Rounds 3 and 4
Playing a 10-round season, the Cats will also have away games against rivals in North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos (Launceston), Western Bulldogs (Ballarat), Essendon (Warrnambool) and Adelaide (Adelaide).
Geelong CEO Steve Hocking said the Club was incredibly excited to welcome the new fixture.
“The Season 7 fixture is going to provide our members and supporters a number of opportunities to rally behind the team.
“In addition, our travel schedule will allow a number of our interstate members and supporters to get along to the football and see the Cats in action in their home states.”
Amongst Geelong’s opponents in 2022 is last season’s finalists in Adelaide, Collingwood, Fremantle and North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos.
