A new role provided a strong result for Georgie Rankin in 2025, as the experienced Cat produced career-best numbers throughout her eighth season in the Hoops.
Averaging 12.3 disposals per game, Rankin barely wasted a possession as she went at a team-high 79.1% disposal efficiency across the season, while also averaging career-highs in contested possessions and intercept possessions.
She was also able to provide a strong presence defensively, ranking second at the Cats for spoils and winning 13 of her 16 defensive one on one contests across the year, resulting in a top-10 finish in Geelong's best and fairest.
Equally as important is Rankin's work off the field, a two-time winner of the Cats’ AFLW Carter Family Community Champion Award, which recognises her care and enthusiasm for working in the community, both through Cats Community programs and external organisations.
