Hofmann impressed during his inaugural pre-season with the Cats, but unfortunately an untimely injury disrupted a large portion of his 2025 campaign. 

Returning in Geelong's Round 15 VFL clash with Richmond, the dashing defender featured in five games to close out the season and showed plenty of positive signs, mixing his height with elite athletic ability. 

Averaging 10 disposals and three marks per game, Hofmann also pushed forward to kick his first goal in the Hoops during Geelong's Round 17 clash against Collingwood.
