The Cats skipper saw a role change in 2025 but it worked to great effect, spending more time as a forward and still proving that he can be a game changer in his 18th AFL season.
Dangerfield finished the year with 30 goals of his own, while also registering 30 goal assists, the second most of any player in the AFL last year.
There were a number of standout performances from the champion Cat, such as his remarkable display against Collingwood in Round 8 where he amassed 13 disposals, 10 contested possessions and five score involvements in the final quarter alone to lift his side to victory.
That match was only eclipsed by his dominant outing in the Preliminary Final, where he finished with a season-high 31 disposals, eight clearances, nine inside 50s and three goals to inspire Geelong to a famous win over Hawthorn.
Dangerfield also reached his 350th AFL game in 2025 and moved to 15th on the all-time games played leaderboard by the end of the season, numbers that he will be looking to expand on heading into his 19th year at the top level.
