GEELONG is thrilled to announce another membership record, with the club’s 2021 membership tally confirmed as 70,293.

It follows the announcement in July that the club had exceeded 70,000 members for the first time in its history.

“Whether you have been a member for decades or just signed up this year, on behalf of the Geelong Football Club I want to thank every single one of you,” Chief of Commercial Braith Cox said.

“The commitment members make to our club is the key reason that allows us to prosper.”

In another season affected by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, including games with heavily reduced capacities and at times no crowds at all, it is the first time in history the total club membership number has exceeded 1.1 million.

“The past 18 months has been a challenging period for everyone, and we’ve been overwhelmed by the passion, dedication and generosity of our members who are determined to help the club succeed.”

Geelong recorded the fourth highest membership growth (+10,227) amongst the 18 clubs, placing it in a strong position to reach its target of 100,000 members by 2025.

“Surpassing 70,000 members is a great milestone. It is one of the targets that we had set ourselves this year and it puts us in a good position to reach our overall target of 100,000.”

Geelong’s 2021 membership tally consists of 53,204 renewed members, 12,961 news members and 4,128 members returning from previous years.

To say thank you to our 2021 members for helping us break our all-time membership record we will be giving away $70,000 worth of prizes.
