The VFLW Bendigo Bank Cats have continued their winning form with a 16-point victory against North Melbourne at Queens Park on Sunday.

The 7.6 (48) to 5.2 (32) win moves the Cats to a 5-2 record at the midway point in the season.

"You will always take 5-2," VFLW Coach Andrew Bruce said post-game.

"Our good is very good but we need to be more consistent for longer periods, but the pleasing thing is there is plenty of room left for growth."

The match was a tail of two halves with the Cats dominant early taking a 23-point lead into half time, before the Roos responded after the main break.

"We were really good in the first half but North got their game together in the second half and were the better team to be honest."

"We had good structure (in the first half) and we fed our outside midfielders really well which gave our forwards opportunities to score."

"I thought Paige Sheppard and Laura Gardiner were really impressive in the middle for us, while in attack (Olivia) Barber and (Claudia) Gunjaca kicked multiple goals and provided good focal points for us."

In Round 8 the Cats will travel to Bill Lawry Oval to play Darebin on Saturday at 12pm.
