Geelong fans will have an opportunity to say thank you and goodbye to two of the club’s all-time greats on Sunday.

Gary Ablett Jnr and Harry Taylor will participate in a farewell lap of honour prior to the Cats game with North Melbourne at GMHBA Stadium.

Ablett and Taylor retired after last year’s Grand Final after playing 357 and 280 AFL games respectively.

Both dual premiership players with the Cats, Ablett and Taylor spent most of their careers as the top players in their positions with Ablett regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time with two Brownlow Medals, five AFLPA MVP awards, eight All Australians, six club best and fairest awards and Taylor achieving two All Australians and a reputation as one of the hardest defenders in the game to play on.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seat by no later than 4pm to make sure they don’t miss the lap of honour. A VFL curtain raiser between Geelong and North Melbourne will kick off at 1pm with the AFL game commencing at 4.40pm.

Geelong Cats member tickets went on-sale Monday with General Public tickets on sale from Tuesday. All tickets will need to be claimed/purchased through Ticketmaster.
