If 11 wins, a top-two finish and a home Qualifying Final were not enough, Geelong went out and set an incredible AFLW record on Friday night in their big victory over the Western Bulldogs.

After scoring 88 points at GMHBA Stadium, the Cats finished the home-and-away season with a total of 871 points, the most of any team in the competition's history.

It surpasses the previous record set by North Melbourne last year, with Geelong averaging 72.6 points per game across their regular season campaign.

They left it until late on Friday night, with the Cats eclipsing the record at the 17-minute mark of the final term, as Jackie Parry curled home her fifth goal of the evening.

Parry has also moved two goals clear on top of the AFLW's goal-kicking leaderboard, setting a new record for the time being with 26 goals for the season, noting that it has been an incredible season to be a part of so far.

"Yeah that is unreal, I didn't know that," Parry told Cats Media.

"But I guess it shows the work that we have put in as a team, and the calibre of players that we have got on the field.

"We are pretty spoilt with the forwards we have got at the moment.

"Anyone can chip in, anyone can make a contest, aerially or on the ground. Finishing off their work, it is a pretty great place to play at the moment."

With their victory on Friday night, the Cats finish the regular season with an 11-1 record and have locked in a top-two finish, earning the right to host a Qualifying Final.

They will now await further results over the weekend for final finishing positions, with Geelong still able to win the minor premiership if North Melbourne fall to Richmond.

The most likely scenario will see Geelong finish second and face Melbourne for a place in a Preliminary Final, the potential to set up a clash between Mick Stinear and his former club.

Parry said that while the season has been a raging success so far, the playing group are under no illusions and still understand that the biggest challenge is yet to come.

"It has been really good," Parry said.

"Mick has also been really good at keeping us level, every week getting back to the table and working on how we can get better.

"It has actually been really good like that, we haven't been able to get carried away or reflect on the 11 wins. It is just back to work next week.

"But when you do reflect on finishing top-two, that is just a really unreal achievement."
