GEELONG will take on the undefeated Demons on Sunday at the MCG in their Round 4 match up.

It will be back-to-back games at the MCG for the Cats after their narrow win over Hawthorn on Easter Monday.

The Cats will be forced to make at least two changes with Shaun Higgins (hamstring) and Francis Evans (ankle) unlikely to be available.

Here are the players 'In the Mix', presented by Vital Strength.

Sam Menegola

The Cats will be hoping that their hard running wingman will return to the line up to take on Melbourne. After suffering a shoulder injury against the Crows in round one, Menegola has pushed his case for the for the rounds two and three games but looks likely to be available against the Demons.

Brad Close

With Francis Evans going down with an ankle injury the Cats will likely look to Close to fill the small forward hole. After an exciting debut season in 2020 and four goals in last week’s VFL practice match, the Cats know they can rely on Close to come in and impact the game.

Ben Jarvis

After debuting late in 2020, Jarvis has remained thereabouts at the selection table for the Cats. After booting four goals in the Cats last VFL practice match, Jarvis could be an additional forward option for the Cats on Sunday.

Josh Jenkins

After losing his spot in the AFL side after the loss to Adelaide in round one, Jenkins returned to VFL level and booted five goals for the Cats. Another who can provide support to Tom Hawkins, Jenkins also can pinch hit in the ruck with the Cats facing the large task of containing Max Gawn at ball ups.

Zach Guthrie

The younger Guthrie played round one against the Crows before being given Medical Sub duties for round two. Guthrie’s flexibility to play in multiple positions across the ground as well strong running prowess means he’ll be right in the mix to take on the expanses of the MCG.
