St Kilda's Caitlin Greiser and Olivia Purcell of the Cats.

GEELONG's Round 4 fixture has been confirmed with the Cats set to play the Saints at RSEA Park on Friday night.

It will be the first time the two sides have played each other in the AFLW competition.

The match will commence at 7.10pm AEDT.

The AFL will await further advice from the Victorian Government before confirming any ticketing arrangements for matches scheduled to be played in Victoria.

AFL Head of Women’s Football Nicole Livingstone said the league would continue to take the advice of governments and health officials as it worked through fixtures for upcoming rounds.

“These continue to be unprecedented times and the fixture this year will continue to respond to and reflect the situation across country,” Ms Livingstone said.

“We will continue to remain adaptable as we listen to and work closely with each stakeholder to ensure the best possible outcome for everyone in the game. While COVID-19 continues to impact the community, the health and welfare of our players and the community remains the priority and we remain committed to delivering a full season in a safe manner led by respective governments, public health officials and medical experts.

“On behalf of the AFL, I want to thank all clubs, players and the AFLPA, umpires, venues, governments and our broadcast and commercial partners for their understanding and continued support of the NAB AFL Women’s Competition. I also want to acknowledge the ongoing support from the AFLW football community this season through memberships, attendances and broadcasts.”

All 2021 NAB AFL Women’s Competition matches will be broadcast live on the Seven Network, FOX FOOTY, Kayo, and via the AFL Live Official App, thanks to Telstra. Matches will also be streamed live via womens.afl and the AFLW Live Official App.
