Patrick Dangerfield is the Round 18 Ford Fan Most Valuable Player.

Dangerfield was a popular choice receiving 34% of your vote after an eye-catching three-goal second half helped the Cats secure a six-point victory against Sydney on Sunday.

After a quiet start to the game by his lofty standards, coach Chris Scott moved Dangerfield into attack in the third term and he had an instant impact on the scoreboard helping the Cats fightback from a 17-point deficit to secure a top four spot.

Dangerfield also finished with 14 disposals and six score involvements.

One of his teammates who played a pivotal role in the second half hitting up Dangerfield on the lead was Sam Menegola, who finished in second place with 14% of the overall vote.

Menegola was Geelong's major ball winner with 25 disposals, a game-high 10 marks and five clearances.

Mark Blicavs' (12%) defensive efforts in the final seconds of the game was enough to see him finish third. 

Gary Ablett Jnr (10%) and Cameron Guthrie (7%) round out your top five.

Ablett Jnr collected a game-high seven score involvements, whilst Guthrie continued his consistent season with 19 disposals at 89% efficiency.

The overall Ford Fan MVP will be announced at the 2020 Carji Greeves Medal.
