Geelong may be without the services of veteran forward Paul Chapman after he was offered a one match ban by the AFL Match Review Panel.

Chapman was reported on the day of the game for a high bump on Port Adelaide's Robbie Gray.

The match-review panel judged the bump to be reckless, low impact and high contact for a total of 225 points and a two week suspension. An early guilty plea will see this reduced to a one week ban.

The Cats have until Tuesday morning to decide whether to challenge the charge. If unsuccessful Chapman would miss two weeks.

Chapman starred for the Cats on Friday night finishing with four goals.
