Judd a "player of our generation"
Chris Scott discusses Carlton's most dangerous players on this week's Tweet the Coach
“I think that Chris Judd is one of the players of our generation,” Scott said.
Judd recently recommitted to the Blues, signing on for next year despite retirement rumours.
“(Judd) is still playing really good footy, particularly in the last month, so I probably – on balance – still think he is Carlton’s best player,” Scott said.
Carlton skipper Marc Murphy strikes Scott as one of their most dangerous players, an important distinction according to the Cats coach.
“To be specific, I think that sometimes the most dangerous player is not necessarily the best player.
“But guys like Murphy and Simpson are really dangerous outside players, probably a little bit more than just outside players,” Scott said.
Scott also emphasized the role of the Blues’ back half, suggesting the Cats will be looking to shut down their run.
“We know Yarran’s not playing but those guys in that back half have been really important for (Carlton’s) ball movement.
“When we decide who we’re going to be a little bit more defensive on, it’s easier some weeks than others and Carlton’s certainly one of the harder weeks,” Scott said.
