Selwood to skipper Australian side
Cats captain Joel Selwood has been selected as captain of the Australian side to play in the International Rules Series
JOEL Selwood will captain Australia in Saturday's International Rules Test match against Ireland at Patersons Stadium.
The Geelong skipper was named captain on Monday night at the team guernsey presentation function at the Sydney Opera House.
The 24-man squad arrived in Sydney on Monday for a two-day training camp.
Selwood will lead his side for the first time on Tuesday when Australia plays a practice match against the NSW Gaelic Football team at Tom Wills Oval.
