MISSING IN ACTION

Esava Ratugolea
A hamstring injury has kept the high-flying Cat sidelined the past two weeks. At his best he is an important component in attack.

Gary Rohan
'Chucky' has been a revelation for the Cats in his first year at the club and if he can prove his fitness on the track this week he appears a near certainty to return against the Dogs.

TOP VFL PERFORMERS

James Parsons (26 disposals, 11 clearances, seven score involvements)
Named an AFL emergency for the 11th time this season, Parsons will no doubt be in the selection discussion again this week. The 22-year-old was outstanding in wet conditions against the Blues with a team-high 26 disposals and 11 clearances.

Lachie Henderson (21 disposals, 11 rebounds 50s, four tackles)
Marshalled the troops well from the backline after hurting his shoulder last week. Was named in the Cats’ best with 21 disposals and 11 rebounds 50s.

Scott Selwood (21 disposals, nine tackles, eight score involvements)
Lead by example all day and racked up 21 disposals and nine tackles.

Zac Smith (29 hitouts, 13 disposals, two goals)
Won the ruck battle and pushed forward to kick two important goals.

Sam Simpson (22 disposals, five clearances, four tackles)
Backed up his best-on-ground performance against Frankston by being named in the Cats' best again this week.

Nathan Kreuger (Two goals, seven disposals, five marks)
Started the game brilliantly with two first half goals before going off with concussion. Unlikely to get his chance this round but is putting together an impressive run of form.

Quinton Narkle (19 disposals, five score involvements, five tackles)
Impressed in his return from a hamstring injury in limited game time with 19 disposals and five tackles.

“His ability to win the contest, take the contest on, find his gaps and use the ball well, that was Narks today,” Coach Shane O’Bree said.

Wylie Buzza (13 disposals, five score involvements, four marks)
In conditions that didn’t suit the big men, Buzza produced a workmanlike performance. Did a great job bringing his teammates into the game with five score involvements.
