In what will be a huge test, the Cats take on a fourth placed Footscray Bulldogs side at Simonds Stadium on Sunday.

After a nail-biting win over Werribee last week, the VFL Cats are looking to stay on the winners list this weekend.

The VFL Cats are still in the mix for finals action but this clash with the reigning premiers is the first of a number of tough games over the next few weeks.

After being selected to play his second senior AFL game, Jake Kolodjashnij will be missed by the VFL Cats as will Shane Kersten who has earnt an AFL call-up after his winning goal on the siren last week.

Dawson Simpson will return to the VFL side this week after being omitted from the AFL team. Sandy Robinson will also return from  a corked quad, he will play just his second match for the VFL Cats this season.

Last time these two sides met was round 5 of this season. The Bulldogs convincingly defeated the Cats 17.13.115 to 8.5.53 at Whitten Oval.
