Daniel Menzel
The 23-year-old is set to cap his extraordinary comeback by lining up in the big clash with Collingwood at the MCG on Friday night. Menzel, who has not played an AFL game since the 2011 qualifying final win over Hawthorn, has played six VFL games this season but was rested on the weekend. He was given the weekend off because of the five-day gap between the VFL team’s game against Sandringham and the AFL clash with Collingwood.

Mitch Duncan
The star midfielder has missed the Cats’ past two games due to a calf problem. He will be given every chance to prove his fitness on the training track this week.

James Kelly
The veteran midfielder/defender missed the loss to the Saints on Saturday night after suffering a recurrence of the ankle injury that sidelined him for a period in the middle of the season. Like Duncan, he will have to prove his fitness on the training track.

Mathew Stokes
The veteran ball-winner didn’t play at any level on the weekend after being omitted from the AFL team. Like in Menzel's case, the coaches wanted to keep him fresh enough to line up against the Magpies if required.

Shane Kersten
After being grounded by a toe injury, the mobile forward returned via the VFL team's clash with Sandringham on Sunday and kicked five goals in an impressive performance.

Billie Smedts
The 23-year-old has had a frustrating season, but he remains very much in the mix to play some more AFL footy before the end of the season. He didn’t play at any level on the weekend to ensure that he is fresh enough to line up against the Magpies if required.
