The Geelong Cats can provide the following GMHBA Health Update ahead of their Round 20 game against Melbourne at the MCG on Friday night.

Max Holmes underwent surgery last Friday to repair a right ankle fracture and syndesmosis injury he sustained during Thursday night's match against St Kilda. At this stage it is expected he will be sidelined for the next eight to 10 weeks.

As a precaution, Shaun Mannagh (hamstring tightness) did not play the final quarter against St Kilda, he will be assessed over the week, before being cleared to play.

Tanner Bruhn (neck) and Rhys Stanley (hamstring tightness) did not play any football last weekend as a precaution, both are in full training and their availability will be assessed later this week.

Following his surgery, Jeremy Cameron has returned to the Club this week and completed some light running sessions as he focuses on his return to play.

As noted in last week's health update, below is the current update on Harley Barker and Toby Conway.

Harley has made steady progress following his ACL injury which he sustained prior to being drafted.

He has steadily increased his running and athletic training loads and is tracking well through the next phase of his program. Harley will transition into more football specific drills in the coming weeks, with his progression through this phase helping inform his training program for the remainder of 2026.

Toby continues to rehabilitate and establish loads following foot and knee surgery. The remainder of the 2026 season will be used to establish a base from which Toby can progress through the 2027 pre-season.

The Cats are take on the Dees at the MCG this Friday night for a 7.40pm. Get your seat with a 2 Game Flexi Membership - score two tickets for just $44 to any remaining Cats game and go in the running to win a Ford Everest. Get yours today.
