Geelong has named its team to play Greater Western Sydney at Spotless Stadium on Saturday night.
Zach Guthrie will make his AFL debut after being one of four players brought into the team.
The others are Lachie Henderson, Zac Smith and Aaron Black.
Henderson missed last weekend's win over Fremantle due to groin soreness, while Smith was sidelined by gastro. Black played in the VFL.
Guthrie, meanwhile, was only promoted to the senior list on Thursday afternoon.
He showed some glimpses of his talent playing across half-back during the JLT Community Series and has since then been honing his craft in the VFL.
The Cats have been hit hard by injuries, with Scott Selwood (hamstring), Tom Stewart (facial fracture), George Horlin-Smith (ankle) and Darcy Lang (leg) all going out of the team.
Joel Selwood has been named after training strongly on Thursday, but a final decision on whether he plays will be made closer to game-time.

Three players who are yet to debut at AFL-level - Wylie Buzza, Timm House and Sam Simpson - have been named as the emergencies.
Simpson was, like Guthrie, promoted to the senior list on Thursday afternoon at the same time as Quinton Narkle (out for the season due to a knee injury) and Josh Cowan (sidelined by an achilles problem) were placed on the club's long-term injury list.
