Geelong continues to whittle away at its injury list on the eve of both AFL and VFL finals, with Esava Ratugolea and Lincoln McCarthy named for Geelong VFL this week.

The Cats will field a side full to the brim with AFL talent, with 18 AFL-listed Cats named to take on Box Hill on Saturday afternoon at Box Hill City Oval.

The presence of McCarthy, Quinton Narkle, Jamaine Jones, Gryan Miers and Lachie Fogarty will provide plenty of headaches for the Box Hill defence.

Ratugolea will take the place of the injured Wylie Buzza, who the Cats lost to a long-term injury this week.

George Horlin-Smith and Jackson Thurlow also return to the side and will give the Cats a much needed inside boost.

The Hawks come into the clash in red hot form after surprising the ladder-leading Casey Demons by a convincing margin of 45 points last week.

The minor premiership is still in play for the Cats if they can defeat the sixth-placed Hawks, and Casey and Richmond suffer losses.

Geelong can’t fall any further than its current third place on the ladder.
