Patrick Dangerfield has continued his excellent start to 2019 after receiving 10 coach votes in the Cats’ win against Adelaide.

The 29-year-old was dominant in Geelong’s engine room, finishing the game with 32 disposals, 10 clearances and eight tackles.

The best-on-ground performance moved him to equal second on AFLCA Leaderboard after three rounds. He trails teammates Tim Kelly by one vote after the second-year Cat received eight votes for another classy performance.

Every round, the AFL coaches vote for the best players from their game. The coaches vote for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5. The maximum a player can score is 10 (with five votes from both coaches).

Mitch Duncan and Tom Stewart were next best for Geelong with two votes each.

Stewart’s standout defensive display also earned him a place in the round three team of the week.
