Geelong are in imperious form with three games remaining in the home-and-away season, but there is no time to take their foot off the pedal with a clash against West Coast looming on Saturday night.

With eight straight wins, the Cats have risen to second place on the ladder and are locked into Finals, but they have far loftier goals in mind with a spot in the top four on the line over the coming three weeks.

As it stands, Geelong and North Melbourne are tied at the top with an 8-1 record and only separated by percentage, but four other teams hold a 7-2 record which sets up an intense finish to the regular season.

This week's challenge is a solid West Coast outfit that have won four of their last five games, and also got the best of the Cats in the corresponding match 12 months ago.

Take a look at all the key details you need to know, ahead of Saturday night's clash with the Eagles in Perth.

West Coast Eagles v Geelong Cats

Round 10 •

RECENT FORM

As previously mentioned, Geelong are flying and are currently in the midst of an eight-game winning streak heading into the business end of the competition.

Playing an electric style of football, the Cats are comfortably the highest scoring team in the competition with an average of 73 points per game, 10 points better than the next best team in the AFLW.

They have scored over 80 points on five different occasions, which has helped to secure four consecutive wins by 34 points or more.

West Coast are a more defensively minded team, but it has proven to be effective with four wins from their last five games, and only a four-point loss in the one defeat across that span.

The Eagles have only conceded an average of 31 points per game to opponents over the past five weeks, which sets the stage for a fascinating battle between two contrasting styles on Saturday night.
