Stinear on the season so far
It is nice to know that it is not going to come to an abrupt end in three weeks time.
To know that some of the work that we have put in is going to create an opportunity for us to continue in the post-season, that is exciting for us. I think the work we do in the next three weeks is going to determine where we finish up.
But I would say one of our biggest strengths this season has been our ability to keep our head down, keep working on our game, keep working on ourselves to be the best teammates and staff members that we can be. Then trusting and living in the moment, that will continue to be our focus.
It is nice to get rewarded for how we have been going about it with a Finals appearance, but we want to make sure we are giving ourselves the best chance to be competitive at that back end.
So we will keep working and evolving, and we will focus on that at the end of Round 12.
Stinear on Geelong's list availability
Alissa has had a fair while out of footy, so to be able to play in the last couple of scrimmages has been good.
She is still obviously progressing as well, but to be fully cleared of rehab and available, it is nice to have a few more names slowly leaving that rehab list.
Emma Kilpatrick, it is a great turnaround.
She was a really important player for us in the early part of the season, so to have her back available for selection. We have got main training today, so we will get through training and then we will sit down and pick the best available team for West Coast this week.
Stinear on Claudia Gunjaca
She had scans yesterday.
The medical team are still working through that with Claudia, probably in the next half hour to an hour.
Nothing too severe is the feedback I have got, but we will find out a bit more this afternoon.
She will still be a test for this week at this point, but hopefully in a couple of hours time we can give you an update.
Stinear on the trip to Perth
Yeah I have massive respect for the West Australian teams that do it week in, week out.
It is kind of good to be naive to that loss last year, not having experienced that. But it is also good to be aware of what the playing group had experienced.
I think we have had really good success travelling to Adelaide, travelling to the Gold Coast, so there are some good learnings already. The team travels well and we get a great opportunity.
I know Daisy and West Coast will be looking to bounce back, after a tough loss against Port Adelaide.
Our group is looking forward to continuing to evolve and perform well as a team.
