Chris Scott will reach a remarkable milestone this week and further etch his name into the history books, as he features in his 600th AFL game as either a coach or player across his storied career. 

The journey started all the way back in 1994, his first year as a player with the Brisbane Bears, extending all the way through to the present day as he prepares to lead Geelong into Friday's Semi-Final against Fremantle. 

Along the way there have been a plethora of accolades, which includes premierships and a number of the game's highest coaching awards, all adding up to one of the all-time great resumes. 

Take a look through some of the most significant numbers from Scott's career across 29 seasons in the AFL.  

599 - Current games combined as either a player or coach. 

29 - Seasons in the AFL, including 13 as a player with Brisbane and 16 with Geelong as head coach. 

1994 - The year it all started, with Scott playing his first game in the opening round of that season against Sydney. 

215 - Games as a player with Brisbane. He featured in 126 wins across that span, before playing his final game against Geelong in Round 22 of the 2007 season. 

4 - Premierships. Scott featured in two as a player, in 2001 and 2002, and a further two as a coach in 2011 and 2022. 

12 - Other individuals who have reached 600 games combined as a player and coach. Kevin Sheedy holds the all time record with 929 games, while Alistair Clarkson was the most recent to reach the milestone. 

384 - Games as Geelong's coach to this stage, a club record that surpassed Reg Hickey's long-standing record of 304 games a few years ago. 

34 - Finals coached to this point, with Friday night set to be his 35th. He currently sits eighth for the most Finals coached in V/AFL history. 

70.14 - Win percentage as a coach in the home-and-away season. This is the highest winning percentage of any coach with more than 70 games at the helm. 

17 - Finals wins as coach, the ninth most of any coach in V/AFL history. 

14 - Finals reached as Geelong's coach in 16 seasons in the top job. 

84.21 - Scott's win rate as coach against Essendon, his highest winning percentage against an opposition team. 

22 - The number of coaches that Chris Scott has a 100% win rate against in his career. 

233 - The highest score that Geelong has kicked during Scott's time as coach, which came during his first season at the club against Melbourne.
