Geelong has selected their initial squad for Sunday's clash with the Gold Coast Suns. 

A number of Cats are a chance to play their first game for the club, with Nicola Stevens, Jasmin Stewart and Annie Lee all added to the extended interchange, while Kate Surman has also been included in the squad. 

The only confirmed change at this stage is Amy McDonald, who comes out of the line-up after sustaining a hamstring strain in last week's win over St Kilda. 

The Cats will confirm their final team at 5.00pm on Friday, with the extended interchange of eight players to be narrowed to five, and the remaining three to be emergencies. 

Geelong will head north for their first interstate trip in the 2026 AFLW season, set to take on the Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium on Sunday afternoon. 

It will be a chance for the Cats to build momentum in their campaign, following a big 85-point victory over St Kilda in Round 2. 

The game will be broadcast on Fox Footy and streamed through Kayo, with the coverage set to commence at 3.00pm AEST before the game starts at 3.05pm.
