Geelong's VFLW side has produced a strong four-quarter performance against Tasmania, running out 42-point winners after controlling the contest from the opening bounce.

The Cats set the tone early with fierce pressure around the contest, winning the first two centre clearances and making the most of their attacking opportunities. Jasmin Stewart opened the scoring for Geelong, before Nikita Harris added another major as the Cats continued to apply pressure across the ground.

Harris was heavily involved in the opening term, collecting six disposals, while Tyla and Bindi Crabtree both started strongly with four disposals apiece. The first quarter also saw Kate Surman and Sienna Tallariti make their VFLW debuts, providing an exciting start to their senior careers.

Geelong continued to attack with intent in the second term, maintaining control of possession and winning the kicking contest. Annie Lee was prominent across the ground, collecting 10 disposals, seven kicks and two marks as the Cats continued to move the ball forward.

Faith Qoon hit the scoreboard during the second quarter, while Tyla Crabtree continued to influence the game with five score involvements. Geelong's ability to win the disposal count and use the ball effectively helped keep the pressure on Tasmania heading into half-time.

The Cats produced another strong quarter after the main break, with their defence standing firm while their midfield continued to generate opportunities going forward.

Lucy Marescuk was influential through the third term, recording 12 disposals, four score involvements and two marks. Stewart also continued her strong afternoon with 10 disposals, eight kicks and three clearances.

Tallariti then announced herself on the scoreboard, kicking her first goal at VFLW level, before Qoon added another major. Marescuk also joined the goal kickers as Geelong continued to build its advantage heading into the final quarter.

The Cats finished the contest strongly, maintaining their dominance inside 50 and winning the handball contest as they continued to attack Tasmania's defence.

Tallariti capped off an impressive debut with 18 disposals, including eight kicks and two marks, while Isabella Davies and Simonen Nalder both found the goals in the final term to help seal the comprehensive victory.

There were plenty of strong individual performances across the afternoon, with Surman leading the way with 22 disposals, 11 kicks and three clearances in her debut. Davies was also influential with 25 disposals, including 15 handballs and four clearances, while Meekah Morrissy continued her strong form with 21 disposals, eight kicks and four clearances.

With contributions across all four quarters and an attacking brand that continued to trouble Tasmania, the Cats finished the afternoon with a convincing 42-point victory.
