Geelong Cats are excited to announce five players have put pen to paper to continue their careers at the Club.

Jeremy Cameron and Jhye Clark have signed on to stay in the Hoops until the end of 2028, while Jack Martin, Jesse Mellor and Joe Pike have all recommitted for the 2027 season.

Already contracted until the end of 2027, Jeremy Cameron’s one-year extension will see him remain at Geelong through until at least his 17th AFL season and his eighth with the Cats.

The 296-game star forward boasts a decorated resume, which includes an AFL Premiership, five All Australian selections including the 2025 All Australian captain, two Coleman Medals (2019 and 2025) and a Carji Greeves Medal (2022). Cameron has also kicked 775 goals across his career, placing him 16th on the league's all time goal kicking tally.

Selected by Geelong with Pick 8 in the 2022 National Draft, Jhye Clark has continued his development in 2026 with a move to half-back, showcasing his competitiveness, strong overhead marking ability and growing influence across the ground on display.

Martin will play into season 2027 after hitting a trigger in his contract for a third season at the Cats. Martin played 13 games in the second half of last year, including all three of the Club’s finals, and has now played 17 games in 2026.

Jesse Mellor and Joe Pike will all remain in the Hoops for another year. In his first year at the Club, Mellor has kicked 35 goals from 16 VFL appearances, while Pike has continued to develop his ruck craft throughout his second season with the Cats, featuring in 17 VFL games this year.

“Jeremy’s impact on the Club goes beyond what he produces on gameday. He remains an important player for us, and we’re thrilled he’ll continue to play an integral role through the extension of his contract.

“Jhye has worked hard at his craft and has come back into the AFL side and having a strong impact. We’re excited about what lies ahead for him and his development over the next two years.

“Jack has made a strong contribution since joining the Club, and it’s great to have him continue his career with the Cats into next season.
