Geelong Cats can provide the following GMHBA Health Update ahead of their Round 21 game against Collingwood at the MCG on Thursday night. 

Sam De Koning will be available for selection after missing Friday night's game against Melbourne due to illness.

Patrick Dangerfield will continue to be assessed this week after jarring his hip on Friday night. Dangerfield took part in the team’s training session this morning with a final call on his availability still to come.

Rhys Stanley (calf tightness), Jacob Molier (quad) and Keighton Matofai-Forbes (finger) will all miss this week's matches.

Stanley experienced calf tightness during training on Tuesday and will undergo further assessment this week, with an updated return to play timeline to be provided next week.

Molier sustained a quad strain in Saturday’s VFL game, while Matofai-Forbes underwent surgery on a fractured finger sustained in the same game. Both players will undergo further assessment before determining their return to play timings.

Jeremy Cameron and Max Holmes continue to progress in their respective recoveries, with Cameron taking part in some running and non-contact training so far this week.

Toby Conway and Harley Barker remain listed as TBC as they continue to make progress on their return to play, the Club has provided details below on their current status. 

Harley has made steady progress following his ACL injury which he sustained prior to being drafted. He has steadily increased his running and athletic training loads and is tracking well through the next phase of his program. Harley will transition into more football specific drills in the coming weeks, with his progression through this phase helping inform his training program for the remainder of 2026. 

Toby continues to rehabilitate and establish loads following foot and knee surgery. The remainder of the 2026 season will be used to establish a base from which Toby can progress through the 2027 pre-season.
