Geelong has selected a 24-player team for Saturday's AFLW practice match against Brisbane, the final hit-out of the pre-season as the Cats ramp up their preparations for the 2026 campaign.

New co-captains Nina Morrison and Becky Webster will officially lead the Cats for the very first time, alongside other big names like Georgie Prespakis, Aishling Moloney and Amy McDonald, who will all play on Saturday afternoon.

One of the more exciting stories will be the return of Chantel Emonson for her first official hit-out, after missing the entire 2025 AFLW season following the birth of her daughter, Luna.

A number of new faces will pull on the blue and white Hoops for the first time, including experienced defender Nicola Stevens and draftee Evie Cowcher, while Irish recruit Emma Murray has been selected on a wing.

As announced earlier on Friday, Georgie Rankin will be the only notable name missing after suffering an injury. Find out more here
