Geelong Cats can provide the following GMHBA Health Update ahead of their Round 14 match against Gold Coast at the GMHBA Stadium this Friday night.

Lawson Humphries will be available for selection against the Suns after missing last week due to an ankle injury.

Tom Stewart is in the AFL’s concussion protocol following a contest seconds before the final siren sounded in last Thursday night’s game against the Crows.

Geelong Cats EGM Football, Andrew Mackie said, “Tom was assessed post-game by our medical team and subsequently has entered the concussion protocol. He will miss Friday night’s match and we will continue to monitor him through the protocols.”

Brad Close and Mitch Knevitt will both be tests this week. Close left the field during the last quarter of Saturday’s VFL match with an ankle sprain, while Knevitt was a late withdrawal in a conservative approach after experiencing some hip soreness.

Jay Polkinghorne returned to the VFL line-up last Saturday and kicked two goals in the Cats’ win over Sandringham.

The Cats return to GMHBA Stadium this Friday night to take on Gold Coast in the Club’s White Out game. Be part of the action and atmosphere and get your exclusive Ecosa x Geelong Cats rally towel.
