The next generation of talent from the Geelong Cats Academy were on display last week, as the Boys and Girls squads competed strongly in the annual NGA Games.
Led by Boys Coach Sam Simpson and Girls Coach Kate Darby, the squads completed a five-week training program and it culminated in the NGA games, withe both squads playing three games against other AFL clubs academies.
Geelong's Boys squad won two of their three games, comprehensively beating both Carlton and the Western Bulldogs before falling narrowly short in a thriller against Hawthorn.
The Girls squad also achieved two big victories to open the games before falling in their final match, capping off a successful two days for Geelong's academy teams.
