Scott on how he assesses the win

Positively.

I try not to get into the ranking of performances, but we were much happier with the way that we played tonight.

Especially given it was a bit hard to predict the opposition except that, I am prepared to say that a couple of weeks ago, if they weren't the best team in the comp then I wasn't sure who was.

I have said it probably over the last decade, it has been clearer to me that you need a bit of luck in this game.

You look at the draw at the start of the year, it is hard to tell how hard it is because it is not sort of who you play, it is when you get them. We are obviously awake to the fact that they had their challenges tonight and it sort of got worse for them as the game went on.

Scott on Jeremy Cameron's performance

He was on, wasn't he?

He kicked seven in the first half and obviously in the third quarter we didn't play as well as we would've liked, but every time he went near the ball, even up the ground it looked like good things were going to happen.

I am not exactly sure how to deal with it, it was obviously a big night for the club but sometimes you can overplay that.

The most important thing is that the best way you can celebrate those guys who have been so important to us, is to do what you need to do as a team.

I thought early in the game, we were able to set it up.

Scott on Jake Kolodjashnij's Goal

Yeah, well, I am sure that the other boys have said it so I don't mind repeating it.

There was a long time there where we had a lot of fun with that. I think he held the record for the most games without a goal, or he was pretty close anyway. Every week that it continued without him kicking a goal was a bit of entertainment for the boys.

Again, I said this in the pre-game, he has been a really important player for us. But it is difficult for those outside of the club to understand just how challenging it has been for him over the last 12 months.

There aren't many players, outside of a knee reconstruction where you know it is going to be a long period of time, this was a situation where it was a bit unknown whether he was going to be able to force his way back into AFL football. But he just endured the difficult times, even with the team going well last year that would have made it harder for 'Kola.'

But he is the ultimate team man, so he is obviously happy with the way the team was going but he spent basically a year in rehab by himself.

200 games is nice, but the fact he is back makes me even happier.

Scott on Mitch Edwards' development

I am obviously a fan.

So much so, that we probably had a broad plan to manage him out of some footy through this period.

But he is recovering really well from games, that has continued and he is playing really well as well.

Again, because we had so much respect for the opposition, it was like maybe we should chop him out but the side is going to be poorer for it.

He came off last week's game really well, so it was good to see him keep going.
