Scott on the Easter festivities
It has become a nice tradition.
I guess we haven't evolved into a club with lots of young kids recently, it has been the case for a couple of decades now.
I think it is also a reminder that it is a privilege to be a part of this weekend, Easter Monday is a big occasion and we understand that a lot of clubs would like to be playing in this time slot.
The fact that it is reserved for Hawthorn and Geelong is something that we don't take for granted.
Scott on the Easter Monday tradition
I think over the decades, the thing that has excited me even before my time at Geelong, was that it was a game between two sides that are in contention.
Hopefully that is the case now, Hawthorn certainly are in contention and we are doing our best to put ourselves in that position. I am not a huge subscriber to be honest, I know it is a bit of a downer, but the idea that the occasion trumps where the teams are on the ladder, I am not so sure about that.
The main thing is that it is two good sides going at it, generally Autumn is a great time of year in Melbourne and it is a nice time to play footy.
To be back at the MCG is something we are looking forward to as well.
Scott on Jhye Clark
Well we would like him to play a little bit more as an inside mid. We think in a perfect world, that is his best position at the moment.
Jhye is probably in the position that a lot of young players coming into the AFL find themselves in, in that they don't necessarily get to play their preferred position because there are pretty handy players in front of him.
It is an opportunity for him to play a little bit more around the ball, but we are still really bullish about the player that he is going to become.
I feel like I am repeating myself a lot in this forum, if you think that our 23 that we pick in any given week is a referendum on who we think our best 23 players are, you are not reading the way we think about things.
Scott on a potential Jack Bowes return
I think that is likely, as you know I am not going to walk you through our team and it will be named this afternoon.
But I am happy to say that Jack is one of those guys, he was almost a victim of circumstance in that the incumbents tended to get the nod for the Round 2 game against Adelaide, even though he was in really good form.
He missed a couple of games with a really minor calf issue, but he is fit and firing now.
It is really positive to get him back into our team in good form.
Scott on Jake Kolodjashnij
It is likely that he has served his return to play criteria, and now he is absolutely in a position where we will play him over the next few weeks.
But again, I think it is unlikely that we will just drop him straight back in and he just plays every week from here. We have got the macro plan, which is obviously subject to change based on circumstance.
We have been careful with him, we are optimistic that he is through the physical issues that he has had. There just has to be enough flex in there that if he does get a bit sore, that we don't keep pushing him through.
I am certain that he will play a part in this little compressed period of the fixture.
Scott on Tyson Stengle's timeline
It is really positive.
Tyson is probably not that different to our other players, in that we are sort of cautious in that return to play period. But I guess if you wanted to compare it to anyone, it has been the slow process that we have taken with Dangerfield and Kolodjashnij.
He hasn't played VFL footy yet, but he has put together a really strong block of training. It is still very likely that we will wait a bit before we thrust him into an AFL game.
It is likely going to be some VFL footy, but I would be very surprised if we can hold him back any longer.
We were thinking about him playing some VFL footy this week, that gives you a bit of a guide on the timeline.
