Geelong Cats can provide the following GMHBA Health Update ahead of the Easter Monday match against Hawthorn at the MCG.

Patrick Dangerfield will miss the clash against the Hawks as he continues to manage his calf injury.

“While the longer turnaround into the Easter Monday game has been beneficial to build load back into Pat’s training, the Club will continue to take a cautious approach and he’ll return when ready,” Geelong Cats EGM Football, Andrew Mackie said.

Jay Polkinghorne is set to begin running this week, the Club will provide an updated return to play timeline once he resumes running and his progress can be fully assessed.

Keighton Matofai-Forbes is continuing to make progress in his recovery, with a target to return to football in nine weeks.
