Mannagh on the mindset after Friday

We are obviously disappointed, it is not the way we wanted to start the season.

But we are always a forward moving team, and we look forward to this week.

We play Fremantle at home, so that will be nice.

I think we have been in the same mindset for the last few years, win or lose we move on pretty quickly.

Mannagh on staying consistent despite the result

We don't delve into stuff too much, because you don't want to get bogged down in the nitty-gritty stuff.

We take the positives out of the game, which I think we finished the game really well.

We spoke about it at three quarter time, let's get as much as we can out of it but obviously a lot of things didn't go our way.

It is not the way we wanted to play, but we take the positives out of that last quarter and move into this week.

Mannagh on the potential Round 1 returns

I think they [Dangerfield & Cameron] are tracking well, we train today so we will see how things go.

I think the talk has always been that they will be right for this week.

Jack [Bowes] played really well in the VFL last week, kicked a few goals from the midfield and performed well. That is what we expect from him, hopefully he is back this week.

I am not sure of Tyson's [Stengle] timeline, but he has been around the program for a little while now and has been training really well.

Mannagh on Fremantle

They are a great team aren't they?

I think they showed that last year, they are probably going to be a top four fancy again this year.

Their midfield is pretty great, so it is probably a similar thing that we went into the Gold Coast with last week.

We want to make sure we are up for the fight from the get go, not letting it pan out the way it did last week.

Mannagh on how the team recovered

It was very humid, but our high performance team did a great job over the pre-season getting us ready for that.

We have done a lot of heat training, a lot of heat exposure stuff so that certainly wasn't an excuse for our performance.

It just wasn't our night, but I think the boys have recovered well.

We are back into main training today and certainly all eyes forward for this weekend.
