2026 Pre-Season Training - Wednesday January 28 | Jeremy Cameron

Jeremy Cameron has withdrawn from Victoria’s Origin team as he continues his recovery from the broken arm he sustained in last year’s Grand Final.

“While I’ve done the majority of pre-season, I only started full contact training last week,” Cameron said.

“Ideally with another week I’d be able to get the needed contact sessions under my belt to play in a match of this intensity.

“I’m disappointed I won’t be running out in the Big V this year, I know the boys will do Victoria proud and I hope to get the opportunity to play in the future.”

While Cameron won’t be running out for Victoria in Saturday night's match against WA, he remains on track to play in Geelong’s Opening Round match against Gold Coast on Friday 6 March.

The Cats will still be very well represented in AFL Origin, with five players to feature in the match along with Chris Scott who will coach the Victorian team.

Patrick Dangerfield, Tom Stewart, Max Holmes and Bailey Smith are all set to pull on the 'Big V,' while Lawson Humphries will line up for Western Australia at Optus Stadium.
