Geelong has continued to strengthen this back line ahead of the 2026 AFLW season, signing delisted free agent Alissa Brook from Port Adelaide.
The news follows an earlier trade between the Cats and St Kilda, which will see experienced defender Nicola Stevens pull on the blue and white Hoops next year.
Brook is an impressive young defender from South Adelaide, with her AFLW journey starting in 2023 after she was selected by Port Adelaide with pick 25 in the Draft.
Described as an athletic prospect, Brook dominated at the AFLW Draft Combine and caught the eye of recruiters, particularly impressing in the vertical jump testing.
Brook made her debut at the top level in Round 5 of the 2024 season against Richmond, going on to play three games in her inaugural season with the Power.
She would add another seven games in 2025, before being delisted by Port Adelaide at the end of the season.
At just 20 years of age and with plenty of speed and agility, Brook will be a welcome addition to Geelong's AFLW playing list for the 2026 season.
