Worpel on how he is settling in
It has been great, I love the city and obviously grew up here.
I have got some strong connections to the club, and strong connections to home with my family.
The club have been super in welcoming me, I am just trying to fit in as quickly as possible and get to work.
My first couple of weeks have been super and I am super excited to spend the next four years here.
Worpel on his decision to join Geelong
I think it was just the right timing for me.
I think with where Hawthorn was going, where they were headed with their list and their profile.
Geelong obviously being interested was flattering, I think the timing was perfect. Footy is not forever and opportunities like this don't come around very often.
The nostalgia around coming home, being with my family and playing for the blue and white who I had supported for my whole life, it was too much to give up.
I took that opportunity when it came.
Worpel on what he will bring to the Cats
I was just want to bring my experience, about 150 games now and eight years in.
I am an inside mid, powerful and a good clearance player so I just want to bring that to the Cats.
Hopefully I can bring a different dynamic into the midfield.
Worpel on his connection with Gryan Miers
Gryan has been really good, he has blossomed into such a good player as well.
We have a little running joke about the amount of games we have played, I think he is just pipping me at the moment.
Hopefully at the end of our careers, we can look back and cherish some good moments together.
But he has been really good to help me settle in and see the club.
Worpel on his new number
Yeah really good players, it is really good history as well.
I have been pretty lucky with the numbers I have worn in my AFL career, five and 29.
It is big shoes to fill, but I want to make it my own.
I couldn't be happier to be in the 29 to be honest, it is a great number.
